What DecisionRadar does
DecisionRadar turns a question into a visible comparison. Users define their own options, edit the criteria, weight what matters from 1 to 5, rate each option from 0 to 10, and see the trade-offs immediately.
The standard calculation balances the weighted ratings. If a different lens is useful, an optional Advanced calculation control can instead look for ideal fit, consistent strength or direct outranking. The same ratings, weights and weighted radar remain visible; only the way the result is combined changes, with a plain-language explanation shown for the selected option.
Why the human override matters
A weighted score can reveal patterns, but it cannot understand every legal constraint, ethical concern, political judgment, timing dependency or non-negotiable condition. DecisionRadar therefore separates the radar recommendation from the recorded decision.
Three modes
Compare supports classic decision forks with two to six alternatives. Assess supports readiness, performance, maturity or current-state evaluation. Triage supports high-volume first-pass review through user-defined Met / Review / Blocker checks. The process owner defines every check and its evidence rule; DecisionRadar supplies no mandatory eligibility criteria. Triage does not use weights or ranking: Clear requires every defined check to be Met; Review or Unset keeps a case in Review; any Blocker is surfaced for human decision. For high-volume work, Triage can start with a session-only cover-sheet image: user-defined checks are marked as Cover, Dossier or Cover + dossier, and a connected LightAssist can surface possible blockers for explicit human confirmation before deeper review. The active case can also temporarily hold up to 10 PDFs for manual review or a docked LightAssist digest. Case queues can enter manually, by CSV/TSV, through SharePoint, or through an authorised email/Outlook intake adapter; source files are fetched only for the active case.
LightTools principle
The tool solves one recurring pain point in one immediate workflow. It opens quickly, works without an account, keeps the primary data on the device, and produces a reusable output.
